Hog's Apothecary and the Architect

This is my first real date via internet/app dating. The guy had the potential to be hot, but he was really...uninteresting? Uninterested? Unsexy? The menu is basically all sausage and beer (which I tend not to drink unless it's a Stella and I'm balls deep in a wine tasting). Awkward to eat sausage on a date? The small talk doesn't flow easily. When asked what he did in his spare time he just said he dates a lot. Is that weird to tell someone you're on a date with? I thought it was rude. We split the bill, he walks me to my car, and we never communicate again. Not awful, it feels good to be out again.
